FAQ
We specialize in custom luxury travel for individuals, couples, and small groups. Our itineraries tend to center on culture, food, and design rather than bucket-list checkboxes. If you want a resort package or a cruise, we are probably not the right fit. If you want a trip that feels tailored, considered, and genuinely good, we are.
Absolutely. Solo travelers are welcome to join one of our curated group retreats or work with us on a fully custom private itinerary designed around their schedule and interests. Our founder, Betty Nguyen, travels solo herself, so the experience of planning and executing a solo trip is something we understand firsthand, not just professionally. Luxury travel is personal by nature, and solo travel is no exception. We are experienced in designing exceptional trips for one, and we approach every solo inquiry with the same care and intention as any other.
Yes. We do not recommend what we have not experienced firsthand. That means our destination portfolio is selective, but every recommendation carries real accountability.
Nomoon is designed for travelers who want a genuinely considered trip rather than a templated package. Itineraries are priced per person based on destination, scope, and accommodation style. Most of our clients invest $2,500 USD or more per person. We discuss the full picture openly before any commitment is made.
Yes. Planning fees vary based on the scope and complexity of the itinerary. Fees begin at $500 and are discussed transparently before any work begins. We will always be upfront about what is included and what to expect before you commit to anything.
We review every inquiry personally. If your trip is a good fit for what we do, we will reach out within two to three business days to schedule a discovery call. That conversation is where we learn about your travel style, interests, and vision for the trip and where we determine whether we are the right team to build it.
It depends on the trip and the traveler. For clients with fixed schedules and straightforward routing, we are happy to handle flights as part of the full itinerary. For travelers who prefer to manage their own international flights, whether to use points, miles, or maintain scheduling flexibility, we build the land itinerary around their arrival and departure. We discuss this during the planning process and find the approach that works best for each client.
Cancellation terms vary by supplier, destination, and the specifics of your itinerary. In general, we structure trips with minimal non-refundable deposits upfront — which covers initial supplier commitments as well as our planning time — with clear timelines communicated at every stage. Final balances are typically due 60 to 90 days before departure. We walk every client through the cancellation and payment schedule before booking begins so there are no surprises.
It means choosing properties that operate sustainably in a verifiable way, supporting locally owned businesses over international chains, booking with operators who pay fair wages, and building itineraries that do not concentrate tourism impact in already-overvisited areas. We are not perfect, but we are deliberate.
We review supplier and property partnerships on an ongoing basis. Visit our Partners page to submit an introduction. We prioritize applicants with demonstrated sustainability practices, independent verification, and a product or property that fits our current destination portfolio.
