Enjoy a leisure day in Marrakesh with shopping and dinner.
Overnight in Marrakesh.
Our guide will pick you up around 8am in Marrakech.
After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing plenty of Instagram opportunities. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, the "Rose City” and then continue to Ouarzazate via the Amridil Kasbah, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century, now the Kasbah is a house of many Glaoui people.
Overnight in Ouarzazat.
After breakfast, we'll then go to Boumaln Dades via the Tizi-n-Tichka, Atlas pass, with awesome views of the mountains, heading towards the ancient High Atlas Berber Village Road. Then we'll continue through Ouarzazate, Skoura Valley, and Rose Valley. Stops include the Ait Ben Haddou and the famous Kasbah (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films and series shot here includes Game of Thrones, Gladiator, The Mummy, etc.
Dinner at the hotel and overnight in hotel/riad in Dades Valley (if your schedule permits, we strongly recommend an additional night in Dades Valley).
The day starts after breakfast, our driver will take you from Dades to the Sahara Desert at Merzouga. Colorful Berber villages dot the landscapes along the way. You will go through the Todra Gorges and Erfoud or Riassani in which you’ll see the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. Afterwards, we'll ride camels during sunset to our luxurious desert camp. When we reach the camp, you'll be greeted with Berber tea and snacks. Then you'll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and listen to Berber music and singing under a beautiful starry sky.
Overnight in a Berber tent with glamorous decor (Western bathroom and hot showers included in each tent).
In order to make the most of the sunrise over the desert, we'll get up early for the breath taking sunrise, close to the camp. After sunrise we return to Merzouga where a hearty breakfast is waiting for us. You will appreciate the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast, we then head north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the biggest in the world. You´ll see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road. This way leads us to the Ziz valley, which river comes down from the high Atlas and feeds the palm grove. Here we make a stop and from this high viewpoint, enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and the town of Aoufous. We make another stop in Midelt, just in the heart of the Atlas where you´ll have free time for lunch and leisure. In the afternoon we continue our way through the Cedar Woods where, if we are lucky, we´ll see some monkeys. The next place we´ll visit is the city of Ifrane, situated in the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above the water level. Its broad avenues, its urban development with perfect cleanness, the gardens, the green areas and its architecture make this city look like a Swiss town. Ifrane is also known as the "Moroccan Switzerland. Around 6 pm we will drop you off in Fez and end our memorable journey.
